Reality television celebrity Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was recently charged with simple assault after an altercation at a Middletown, New Jersey tanning salon that he co-owns with his brother.

At first, news sources could not confirm whom he had gotten in a fight with or why the fight had occurred, but it was later revealed that the fight had been with his brother.

The “Jersey Shore” reality star posted $500 bail and was released from the Middletown Police station. He told a photographer outside the station that the fight occurred because his brother “was not running the store correctly, so I had to go in there and clean house, in more ways than one.”

Top Three Reasons You Need to Hire an Immigration Attorney Today

If you are planning on coming to the United States to start a new life or to open up a business, then you are probably well aware of how difficult it can be to get all of the necessary legalities taken care of so that you can take advantage of the opportunities in the country. You might think that it is cheaper and easier to attempt to navigate the immigration system on your own, but here are three reasons why you should forego going in alone and hire an immigration attorney today!

The Laws Frequently Change

One of the top reasons you need to have an immigration attorney is because the laws that govern how immigrants from foreign countries become citizens are incredibly complex and are constantly changing. A lot of the changes that occur to the system are dependent on what the political climate is like at the moment. Along with federal laws, there are also local and state laws that deal with immigrants that add additional layers of complexity to the legal system. Unless you are a legal professional, it is easy to get tangled up in the mess.

Attorneys Can Point You To Other Resources

Many of the individuals who decide to build a new life in the U.S. are not fluent English speakers or have other types of needs that must be met. An immigration attorney can help steer you in the right direction and provide you with referrals to other professionals or agencies that can help you learn the language or meet the other immediate needs you might have, including getting you started in the naturalization process.
